Sun.Star launches 'Our City, We Speak!' page
Sunday, July 24, 2011
SUN.STAR Cagayan de Oro will launch in August a new page gimmick titled "Our City, We Speak!" for young readers aged 13 to 23 years old.
The new page gimmick aims to encourage young readers to be pro-active in expressing their concerns, appreciations or anything that they wanted to tell the public through pictures or articles.
Have something to report? Tell us in text, photos or videos.
This also hopes to encourage the youth to get involved in anything that concerns them.
"We want our young readers to have this 'pagpakabana' attitude in our city," says Emily G. Goyeneche, Sun.Star Cagayan de Oro general manager.
Interested young readers only need to email their pictures or articles at sunstar_cdo@yahoo.com with their complete name, address and contact details.
All published pictures and articles will be given a recognition allowance of P100 each.
Every month, Sun.Star Cagayan de Oro will choose the Best Picture and Best Story from among the published entries and winners will be awarded with a brand new cellphone.
Names of winners will be published in the paper every 8th of the month.
Young readers aged 13 to 23 are encouraged to submit entries and let the public know your great concern for Cagayan de Oro.
