THE search for this year’s Ms. Kagay-an will wrap up tonight as the most fairest of them all would be known during the coronation slated at 7 p.m. at the Atrium of Limketkai Center.
Before the grand coronation, the 11 lovely ladies showed off their best during the evening gown competition and designers runway show held last Wednesday at the Rodelsa Hall of Liceo de Cagayan University.
The evening gown competition was indeed a night of beauty, glitz and sophistication as the 11 candidates elegantly walked through the catwalk wearing the masterpieces of local fashion designers, glittered by Avon collection.
The 11 hopefuls who were given two thumbs up sign by the audience for their queenly appeal are Lovely Jane Estampa, 21, a legal analyst; Sydney Taboclaon, 21, of Barangay Canitoan; Laurice Dee Iñosa, 21, of Barangay Balulang; Queenie Bahian, 19, a student of Cagayan de Oro College; Juriel Valledor, 21; Emie Lou Yamba, 20, a sales representative; Roxinne Jearl Monterde, 20, of Barangay Cugman; Kris Pajaron, 20; Greanne Trisha Mendoza, 22, an event organizer; and twins Maria Elaine Angelica Ghan and Maria Leslie Angelina Ghan of Barangay Carmen.
During the evening gown competition, the 11 ladies elegantly showed off what they got in the Avon collection casual wear and in their cocktail gowns done by designers Boogie Musni-Rivera, John Magallanes, Xerxes Maghanoy and Juniel Doring from the Designers Assembly.
The ladies even wowed the crowd more when they wore the designs of the prince of Haute Couture, Gil Macaibay III.
Rhia Rhita Abalos, chair of the City Tourism Board, said the ladies have really shown their best during the evening gown competition.
“Through their queenly stature, I could say that all the ladies are already winners of their own,” Abalos said.
The winner in the evening gown competition and the best in swimsuit will be announced during the coronation night.
