Soundbee Music Lounge opens in CdeO

KAGAY-ANON music experience has just become more interesting and fun as passionate musicians Maricar Roble Matsuda and husband Yoichi were on hand for the opening of a brand new music lounge along Corrales Avenue in Cagayan de Oro on January 18.
The Matsuda couple recently opened Soundbee Music Lounge as another alternative gimmick area for local and foreign nationals who long for world-class entertainment.
“Soundbee is an upscale bar and music lounge in the heart of Cagayan de Oro where one can just relax and unwind with its soothing ambiance, delectable cuisine and refreshing beverages,” says Maricar.
The Matsuda couple also owns Hummingbird taxi service in Cagayan de Oro, as well as a car wash service along Kauswagan Highway.
Soundbee Music Lounge includes a stage, dedicated sound system and plenty of comfortable seating, and provides lovers of the 70’s and 80’s with the unique opportunity to host special events and exclusive performances.
Maricar says guest artists or singers from Cagayan de Oro and local talents are set to perform in the music lounge regularly to entice more patrons to visit Soundbee, in addition to the in-house Soundbee Band.
"The Music Lounge will provide an intimate setting to showcase the musical talents of Kagay-anons," she says. “Prices of food and drinks will be competitive, but quality service will be the finest in the city.”
Soundbee Music Lounge first opened in Barangay Carmen, this city as a beer garden. The bar was greatly patronized by Japanese, Chinese, Taiwanese, Korean, American and Australian nationals who preferred music of the 70’s and 80’s.
“We transferred to our new location because we wanted to cater to more clients and also for the convenience of our devoted customers,” Maricar shares.
Soundbee Music Lounge is open every day from 3:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Two sets of band performances are expected every night, to start at 7:00 p.m.
Entrance fee is only P50 but it’s free during happy hour, which is from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
