THERE's so much pride in the Auto Planet summer basketball tournament as the championship round matches were all stretched off to a deciding Game 3.
Both defeated on last Monday's skirmishes, Ferrari and Galant had altogether come back with vengeance, dominating their respective games on Wednesday night at Liceo de Cagayan University gym.

In a battle for third place, Ferrari--fired up by the big games of Daanoy and Quirante--took Audi by rout, winning by 21-point margin, 71-50 despite the presence of Boning Biongcog and the streak-shooting
Valdehueza who knocked in 22 points for the losing team.
"Nadaut sa noodles (the team's acknowledged food-take before the game) kay bisan nag-inusara di ma-convert ni Boning iyang lay-up," said Audi's idle center Oliver Velasco in jest.
Both Daanoy, a fastbreak scoring dynamo, and Quirante, a force from underneath, scattered off 29 points apiece in a high-scoring yet lopsided ballgame.
The championship tiff was no difference as Galant dominated Hummer, 85-63, from start to finish.
Hummer's patented fastbreak kill had apparently softened in the face of Galant's formidable defense solidified by the huge tandem of Arnel Dawal and Rex Armojallas plus the smart leadership of veteran point guard Totsie Daitol.
As the Elvis Pahilan and Mercado-led Hummer could not put their acts together on both ends of the floor, Hummer's offense sailed smoothly with the troika of Labnao, Aguilar, and the long-haired Lorono
complementing their big men's efforts by also coming in with productive numbers.
And now that it's all back to square one, Auto Planet fans expect a fierce showdown on Saturday's finale.
"Kay bisan pang-third na lang paningkamotan namo nga ma-intact mi karong Saturday," warned Velasco who elected to sit on the bench when Ferrari took a merciless stance against Audi on Wednesday's twin massacres.
