GOOD Samaritans wishing to extend helping hands to the victims tropical storm “Ondoy" may give cash, foodstuffs and other relief goods to local donation centers.
Donations in kind, such as instant noodles, canned goods, formula milk, blankets and clothes, are urgently needed, says a website of the National Disaster Coodinating Council.

In Cagayan de Oro, the donation center is located at the Freedom Kiosk in Divisoria, where City Hall set up a receiving area manned by government employees.
Acting Mayor Vicente Emano appealed for help from Kagay-anons, saying their help would go a long way in "alleviating the plight of calamity victims."
The Capitol has done the same through the Provincial Disaster Coordinating Council, which has started collecting donations through its "Oplan Tabang."
Groups or individuals can bring their relief assistance at the Capitol.
Relief goods and cash collected from these donation centers will be ferried by the Negros Navigation straight to the victims in Metro Manila, officials said.
Negros Navigation is a member of the Philippine Inter-Island Shipowners Association, which has earlier offered the free shipment of relief goods to Metro Manila and other typhoon-hit areas.
The group's chairman Daniel Lacson Jr., said shipments could be made from major ports around the country where members of their association operate.
