MARAWI. Philippine Marines patrol a stretch of road in Barangay Bubong Madaya, Marawi City in this photo taken Wednesday, August 30. The village of Bubong Madaya is within the main battle area between government forces and Isis-inspired extremists. On 100th day of the crisis, Joint Task Force Marawi announced 617 extremists, 133 soldiers, and 45 civilians were killed. The military said they have been able to recover 667 firearms and rescued 1,728 civilians. (Divina M. Suson)
