AFTER being hailed as the first Pilipinas Got Talent grand winner, Jovit Baldivino starts his journey as Star Records and Sony Music co-produced the 17-year-old’s platinum debut album entitled “Faithfully” followed by his second album “I’d Do Anything for Love.”

Jovit, who earned his living by selling dimsum, has never seen this great opportunity coming.

“Sumali po kasi ako sa PGT (Pilipinas Got Talent) na hindi naman po sobrang umaasa manalo. Kung tutuusin, masaya na ako na makatungtong sa entablado noon at kahit papaano marinig ako ng mga Pilipino kumanta,” he shared.

He said he never thought he would hear his very own voice in radio stations and will eventually launch his own recording.

“Akala ko po kasi malabo po yun mangyari sa isang katulad ko, na maririnig ko ang sariling boses ko sa radyo o kaya magkaroon ng sarili kong album tulad ng mga magagaling na singer talaga,” he shared.

Jovit bested 11 PGT finalists, proving that he was able to make it through the hearts of Filipinos.

“Great things come in small packages…” This was substantiated during Jovit’s hair-raising performances in Pilipinas Got Talent, which was fueled, by his rare and exceptional sound and a simple wish -- to finish studies and help his parents.

Jovit left the viewers of Pilipinas Got Talent and its judges tongue-tied when he rendered his audition piece, “Faithfully” by The Journey.

This young man, with high hopes and dreams in his pockets, also enveloped the Big Dome with his big voice as he sang, with whole heart and soul his winning piece, “Too Much Love Will Kill You” during the said competition’s final night. These two songs are now included in Jovit’s album under Star Records and Sony Music with his winning piece as the album’s carrier single.

Featuring in his sophomore album “I’d Do Anything For Love” is his first composition titled “Nananaginip ng Gising.” The lyrics tell the story of someone in love with a girl, but he can’t do anything but just daydream about her.

Jovit was also named as the 2011 Most Promising Singer/Performer in the 42nd Box-Office Entertainment.

Maxi-Music Inc. and RAA Ventures bring you Jovit together with three other singer-finalists -- the Ezra Band, Markki Stroem and Sherwin Baguion, in the much awaited concert tour dubbed “Jovit Baldivino Live!” in Cagayan de Oro City on July 2, 7:30 p.m. at the Atrium of Limketkai Center.
