“THE Secret of Life: Take time to think, it is the source of power; Time to be friendly, it is the road to Happiness. Take time to play, it is the secret of youth, who believed in a God. Take time to laugh, it is the Music of the Soul. Take time to Love it is the way of Life. Take Time to Pray, it is greatest Power on Earth.”
This must be written by one who has wisdom from God. He is an anonymous writer.

Congratulations to Monsignor Elmer Abacahin for being elected President of the Cagayan de Oro Press Club. He is the first priest from the Catholic Church of our City of Cagayan de Oro to be voted almost unanimously to such a post, principally for his media works in radio, TV and the newspapers in our City of Golden Friendship.
Monsignor Abacahin is an articulate homilist, especially in Cebuano. I’ve heard him several times in Holy Masses he officiated. I’m impressed. I pray that he walks his talk.
The Divine Mercy Foundation of Mindanao Phils. Inc. is doubling its efforts to complete its projects on or before September 2013, for it is the site chosen by the national officers of the Philippine Apostolate of Mercy Inc. (PACOM) in September of 2013.
Thousands of devotees all over the country will attend, which cannot be accommodated in El Salvador City. So logically, the pilgrims in attendance will be accommodated in the City of Golden Friendship where there are a hundred of hotels, pension houses, inns and lodges.
The religious activities will be at the Divine Mercy Hills in El Salvador City, in its to-be-completed Church at the Divine Mercy Shrine, which can accommodate 1,500 persons.
Surely, the thousands can be accommodated inside the Church but tents will be set up outside the Church with state-of-the-art sound system, first class microphones so that from outside, the attendees can hear very well what is going on inside plus huge wide screens installed in strategic places.
With God’s help, it will be successfully accomplished.

Judy Buhay, a balikbayan and younger sister of Dottie Pabayo, former Regional Director of the Department of Tourism and incumbent president of the United Way of Cagayan de Oro City-Misamis Oriental, died unexpectedly a few days ago in our City, a day before her departure back to the USA to her family. Her husband is an American.
Before her departure, she participated in the distribution of relief goods in an evacuation center in Barangay Macasandig. She got tired and collapsed at the evacuation center. She was brought to a hospital in the city. She died a few minutes after arrival in the hospital. She was a hale and hearty lady before her death and was buried at Greehills Memorial Park in Barangay Bulua. Judy was 68 years old.
Death, indeed, is like a thief in the night. Nobody knows when the thief will strike.
The information about her surprising departure came from Dodong Dharamdas, the owner of Wadhus Quality Store in J.R. Borja Street corner Pabayo Street. May her soul rest in peace.
