Chinese New Year revelries at Centrio-A A +A
Saturday, February 1, 2014
IN CELEBRATION of the Chinese New Year, Ayala Centrio has many perks in store for the Kagay-anons.
Stalls that sell Chinese items like lucky bracelets, Jade figurines of horses, scrolls, and other Feng Shui charms can be seen near the main entrance of the mall and now at the Activity Center too.
For foodies, there is also a stall that sells Chinese food like ‘tikoy,’ ‘pork dumplings’ and many more.
The mall’s celebration will be from January 30 until February 1.
But that’s just one of the kick-off of events of the year for the mall.
“Expect that we have more events compared to the past year that would have tie-ups with our merchants,” said Centrio marketing manager Loren Yasay.
“The heart of the mall is really our tenants because that’s how we are able to sustain [the mall] ourselves,” she added as to the highlights and plans of the mall for 2014.
For over a year, Kagay-anons have seen the development of the mall.
Many businesses and stores have opened, artists’ mini-concerts have been witnessed, product launchings were seen, TV celebrities have shared the stage with the people and many more.
The mall is also said to be strengthening the relationship and partnership with the local government units (LGUs) for this year.
Currently, the Philippine Air Force is having their exhibit of the different rifles and a display of pictures showing their help to the kids, the poor, among others, surrounding the activity area.
“Ayala Centrio also feels that we also have that responsibility in the society, so as much as help we can extend, then the better for us,” Yasay said.
As for the business plans and what the people can look forward to for this year, the mall has a lot of more in store for them.
“We’re bringing in definitely a lot of stores so we’ll able to cater more to the needs of the mall-goers. So more choices for them. We’re also working more on interactive programs. The mall will not just be a place to meet their friends or to buy the things that they need but because Centrio is part of their daily lives,” she added.
Just recently, Krispy Kreme and Cotton On opened its doors recently.
“2013 was already a good year for us. So definitely we’ll be working on more initiatives to further strengthen the operations,” she ended. (Alyssa Rikka C. Clenuar/MUST Intern)
