THE Body Fixed Crew of Cagayan de Oro conducted an outreach activity last Thursday, October 12 at the Home Care for Girls, Social Development Center Building, Macanhan, Barangay Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City.

The activity was in connection with Zumba-for-a-Cause spearheaded by the Body Fixed Crew held Thursday, October 5, at the Centrio Ayala Mall Activity Center, Cagayan de Oro City and was attended and facilitated by Zumba Masters and Cagayan de Oro Zins Daniel Napoleon Bacus and Zin Princess Sheila.

The outreach activity was made possible with the help of donors and money collected from the Zumba Fitness Party activity last October 5.

With the theme "Zumba-For-A-Cause" the event facilitated the delivery of various goods, school supplies and personal hygiene kit to 31 orphan girls ages 7 to 17 years old.

The event also included a feeding program with the helped of mothers and "Club Moms" who happened to be donors as well.

The children inside the orphanage have different backgrounds - neglected, physically - abused, sexually-abused, molested, abandoned, and children in conflict with the law (CICL).

The crew was also able to send financial assistance to their first and long-time child beneficiary Gio Paolo Peralta who needs to undergo liver transplant.

The event was graced by the Overhead Organizers Denis Mariano and Eugene Masiba as well as the Body Fixed Members and organizers Jomar Sison, Jhong Luna and Terence Lagia and the following donors, Club Moms, Pulse, Virginia, Cagayan de Oro Eagles, Fit 'n Danz Gym, DMPI ECCC, N Hotel, Xavier University Pueblo, WRK, Print Creation, Infinyt, Mobo Tech, BS Garces, BestSeller Meatshop, Compu Source and Botoy's. Club Moms was also present during the feeding and turn over activity.

According to the Overhead Organizer Dennis Mariano, the event is a big help in bringing happiness to children inside the orphanage.

"Na inspire lang mi makipagshare sa amo talent og sa help, bahalag gamay sa help basta heartily given ang effort. Dili man tingali mag matter kung pila ang cost sa imong gihatag if dako or gamay basta ang importante kanang humbly og heartily jud nimo gihatag imo service para makatabang sa mga bata. Mas daghan pa diay jud nga bata ang nanginahanglan og tabang jud," Mariano said.

Doing outreach activities and helping the needy can make you feel good, according to Jomar Sison, Body Fixed Crew and event organizer.

"Gaan siya once na makatabang kag ingon ani gaan siya sa imong ginhawa, gaan gud nga makatabang ka sa tawo", Sison said.

Body Fixed Crew is a non-political, non-religious and non-profit college dance group and license Zumba instructors which aspire to give and help to less fortunate individuals especially children and elderly people.
