LOURDES College invites alumnae, parents and guests to join its 83rd Foundation Day celebration from February 7 to 13.
The celebration carries the theme "Advancing Excellence, Deepening Faith and Loving Service."
Lourdes College's theme, sub-theme and gospel theme bespeak of the progressive spiritual outlook that it feels highly privileged to pursue.
In particular, the High School Batch l966 is celebrating their 45th homecoming.
High School Batch l966, headed by Dr. Lina Kwong, started the preparation for the festivity during their Christmas 2010 gathering.
Aside from me as active Jubilarian, those who contributed their time and effort to come up with a successful activity include Suzette Zamora, Cynthia Yaranon, Bernadita Valdon Bacarro, Lourdes Tabique Factura, Fortunata Sismundo Taal, Maritza Roa Lucas, Victoria Rivera Zambas, Ma. Corazon Rivera Uraya, Vivian Parrel Dayot, Rebecca Padero Esguerra, Rhodora Nacalaban Misames, Rebecca Nacalaban Nacario, Dr. Lina Kwong, Teonefe Jalagat Autor, Ma. Rosario Fortich Varias, Zenaida Ferrer Lim, Olivia Gayloa, Remedios Fernandez Dabuet, Praxedes Echem Bantilau, Ruth Casiño Cabiasa, Marina Casiño Velez, Corazon Candilas, Evelyn Artajo Velasco, Lourdes Abonitalla and Mildred Abejo Cabanag.
High School Batch 1966 has come up with an enticing dance presentation, choreographed by Ms. Merianne Talja. It will be presented together with the other jubilarians' performance on February l2, 4 p.m. at the Lourdes College High School quadrangle. Their latest gatherings were held at the residences of Vivian Parrel Dayot, Teonefe Jalagat Autor and Lourdes Tabique Factura.
The High School Batch l966 were successfully grouped since their Silver Jubilee in 1991, Ruby Jubilee in 2006 and this year, Sapphire Jubilee 2011. Looking ahead, the Sapphire Jubilarians are joyfully anticipating their Golden Jubilee in 20l6.
Hopefully, more Jubilarians are expected to attend the festivity.
Time enriches friendship. Friendship enriches life. Maturity brings a tranquility and self-acceptance to compensate the perplexities and problems of youth.
