REPRESENTATIVE Jose Benjamin “Benjo” Benaldo (1st district, Cagayan de Oro) implemented infrastructure and road projects in Barangays Patag and Iponan, Cagayan de Oro City.
Benaldo led the capsule laying of a P1.2-million 200-meter road concreting project in Zone 7 Barangay Patag and a covered court at Iponan National High school over the weekend.
Benaldo said the road concreting project is expected to finish in three months; the funding of which come from his Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF).
Patag Barangay chief Benedicto Fabricante was thankful to Benaldo for providing the project even if they are not in the same political party.
For his part, Benaldo assured Fabricante that this is just one of the three projects he identified for Barangay Patag, saying that he is setting aside politics for the betterment of his constituents in the first district.
“As long as I am the congressman of the first district, I will make sure that every barangay will be provided with good projects,” he said.
Meanwhile, Barangay Iponan chief Anthony Brilleta thanked to Benaldo for the project.
Brilleta said Benaldo is the first representative to provide big projects for Iponan.
Aside from the covered court, Benaldo said he will pour in P50 million for a flood control project in Barangay Iponan.
Barangay Iponan is one of the areas in Cagayan de Oro that is often affected by flood during heavy rains.
Benaldo said this will be materialized early next year.
“There will be more projects to come for the different barangays in the first district,” Benaldo said.
