Operatives made the arrest after Abergas received the marked money from her live-in partner Ar-Ar Tayros who sold a sachet of shabu (methamphetamine) to a PDEA undercover agent.
However, Tayros eluded arrest by jumping over the fence at the back of their rented house where the operation was conducted after sensing the presence of the anti-narcotics agents.
PDEA recovered drug paraphernalia from Abergas’s possession when she was arrested.
A charge for violation of Republic Act 9165 has been filed against the suspect. She is now temporarily detained at the Valencia Police Station.
The recovered drug items were brought to the Philippine National Police Crime Laboratory for examination. (Annabelle L. Ricalde)
