Among XU’s top finishers include Linsid Angelou A. Tapongot (2nd), Ralph Ryan de la Rosa (4th), Mark Rey Espinoza (6th) and Niel Dy Obsioma (7th).
Vincent Jerven Barimbao, Melanie Grace Go, Martina Malferrari Jugador and Carren Agnes Solidor all ranked 8th, while Mariel Kris Rael and Raiza Mae Rodriguez were on the top 10th spot.
Emman June Rubin of LDCU and Aga Sibal of CU tied on the 9th spot.
Topping the nursing exams is Jerald Lalaguna Pelayo, a graduate of Mountain View College in Valencia City, Bukidnon.
Ramona Palad, dean of XU’s College of Nursing, said the result is a challenge for them, especially to the students, not to be complacent while urging them to do more.
Tristan Ebare, a registered nurse from XU, said the result is the first ever in the history of XU.
Ebare said it was in 1994 that XU ranked No. 2 in the NLE.
For the December 2011 examinations, the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) said 22,760 passed out of the 67,095 who took the exams.
The results were released by PRC after 42 working days.
Related to this, the PRC said the successful examinees should personally register and sign in for the Roster of Registered Professionals. (Michael Andrew W. Yu)
