Fire trucks owned by the Misamis Oriental Filipino Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Cagayan de Oro Filipino-Chinese Fire Brigade, Limketkai and Sons Inc., Gaisano Inc., Graphics, Mitimco and Jimar Construction Supply helped in flushing and cleaning the city’s streets and main roads, including the two recently constructed flyovers.

Councilor Dante Pajo, chairperson of the City Council committee on health and sanitation, said the clean-up drive hopes to literally clean the “dirt and remnants” of Tropical Storm Sendong.
Volunteers from City Hall, different barangays and other sectors joined in cleaning the rivers and roads and declogged the city’s canals.
With this, Pajo encouraged the residents to clean their surroundings to prevent diseases like dengue. (Nicole J. Managbanag)
