School denies connection with arrested drug suspect
Tuesday, February 21, 2012
THE management of Informatics Computer Institute Cagayan de Oro denied that the security guard who was arrested for illegal drugs during a buy-bust operation recently is an employee of the school.
Jonafe G. Tapulgo-Rodas of Informatics clarified that the suspect, Eduardo Delcosora, is not a security guard of their institution.

Rodas said Delcosora has never been employed by their school, either directly or indirectly, through a security agency.
Rodas’ clarification was made in reaction to this paper’s news article published on February 16, 2012 about the arrest of Delcosora and Roy Caiña for drugs.
Delcosora and Caiña were arrested by operatives of Police Station 1 during a buy-bust operation last February 12, 2012 along Tiano-Hayes Streets, in front of the school.
Based on the statements of arresting police officers, Delcosora is a security guard of Informatics.
When interviewed by Sun.Star Cagayan de Oro after his arrest, Delcosora also admitted that he is a security guard of the school.
Police Senior Inspector Ariel Philip Pontillas said on Tuesday that Delcosora is a security guard of the building where Informatics is located, and “not of Informatics alone.”
However, it was not known what security agency Delcosora is connected.
