5 ‘drugs dealer’ nabbed

AUTHORITIES arrested five suspected dealers of illegal drugs in separate anti-drug operations in Barangay Carmen and Yacapin-J.R. Borja Streets in Cagayan de Oro Tuesday.
Police Inspector Rustico R. Galagala Jr., chief of the Regional Special Operations Group (RSOG), identified the suspects as Jofran V. Torsolado, 36, a resident of Zone 1 in Barangay Canitoan; Ritchel C. Talledo, 24, of 398 Vamental Blvd. in Barangay Carmen; Kimberly H. Ranoa, 24, of 394 Burgos-Abellanosa Sts.; Edward B. Tan, 45, of Tambo in Barangay Balulang and Roxanne M. Tonera, 19, of Barangay Patag, all in Cagayan de Oro.

Galagala said they confiscated from the suspects an Ingram Cobrayo brand with one magazine and five rounds of ammo and eight sachets of shabu (methamphetamine) worth P20,000.
RSOG operatives collared Torsolado based on a tip from an informant about the ongoing drug trade along Lirio Street in Barangay Carmen. They seized four sachets of shabu worth P10,000, one Ingram and drug paraphernalia from his possession.
Meanwhile, police operatives arrested Talledo and Ranoa at Alberto’s Inn in Zayas, Barangay Carmen after two sachets of shabu worth P5,000 and drug paraphernalia were found in their possession.
Tan and Tonera, on the other hand, were apprehended in an entrapment operation along Yacapin-J.R. Borja Streets. Operatives seized two sachets of shabu worth P5,000 in their possession.
The suspects and the confiscated gun and drugs were brought to the Philippine National Police Crime Laboratory for examination. They will be charged for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
