A MAN is in critical condition after an unidentified suspect shot him on Sunday evening in Valencia City, Bukidnon.
The victim is identified as Ricky Calma, 39, a resident of Dangcagan in Bukidnon. He sustained gunshot wound in his nape and is in critical condition at the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) in Cagayan de Oro.
Calma’s sister-in-law said the victim was on his way home from Valencia City on board his motorcycle when an unidentified man who covered his face with a black cloth called him when he passed by a cemetery.
Calma reportedly tried to ignore the man but was forced to slow down when the latter’s companions showed up and tried to ride in his motorcycle.
The victim tried to speed up but was immediately shot in the nape by a still unidentified gunman. The suspects then took away his motorcycle.
Calma was still able to seek help and was brought to a nearby hospital but was later transferred to NMMC due to his critical condition.
The case is now under investigation by police operatives. (Stephanie V. Berganio)
