JOINT forces of the Police Regional Offices (PRO) in Northern Mindanao and Davao regions boasted dramatic gains in their anti-criminality drive with the arrest of one of Northern Mindanao’s most wanted fugitives on Monday.

Police Superintendent Ronnie Francis Cariaga, PRO-Northern Mindanao regional spokesperson, said Dionesio Gella Ortega, who was wanted for four counts statutory rape and acts of lasciviousness, was arrested in Davao City last around 10:40 a.m. of May 28.

Cariaga said Ortega, Number 2 on the most wanted list in Northern Mindanao, has a bounty of P300,000 per Department of Interior and Local Government Memorandum 2006-14.

The arresting team was armed with an arrest warrant issued by Judge Evelyn Gamotin-Nery of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 19 with no bail recommended.
