NEWLY appointed Philippine National Police (PNP) director in Misamis Oriental, Senior Superintendent Rolando Hinanay, bared his plans and programs for the PNP provincial office during his term.
Vice Governor Norris Babiera told Sun.Star Cagayan de Oro that Hinanay, who assumed post last week, showed his strong will and commitment to eliminate crime in the province, citing he wants to strengthen local police stations when it comes to administration policy.
“He said he also bared his fight and protection of environment and his programs in disaster risk reduction and we’re glad that he included that in his plans and programs,” Babiera said.
According to Babiera, Hinanay wants to bring the police closer to the people and be loved by the people in their respective municipalities by strengthening the local police stations and implementing an orderly clean police station so that people will respect them.
On the operational side of eliminating crime, Babiera said Hinanay vowed to seriously run against illegal numbers game, drug traffickers and environmental criminals such as miners and quarry, among others.
