SIX gunmen robbed a junk shop in Barangay Nazareth, Cagayan de Oro, shortly after opening time Tuesday morning.
No one was hurt in the robbery at Devevar Junk shop located along 8th Street, Barangay Nazareth, said Police Senior Inspector Gilbert Rollen, station commander of the Police Station 9 in Barangay Macasandig.
The robbery happened around 7:30 a.m.
Police initial investigation showed that three of the six armed men stormed into the junk shop while the other three served as look out.
One of the suspects, who entered the junk shop, held up the owner identified as Ramil Devevar. He then took the wallet of the victim containing P80,000 cash and his cellular phone.
The robbers, Rollen said, fled onboard two motorcycles.
It was then that Devevar ran outside along with his handgun and fired a shot hoping to hit one of the suspects but failed.
"Naay armas ang victim pero wala niya magamit kay nati-onan naman siya unya daghan pa gyud," added Rollen.
Authorities are still conducting an investigation and pursuit operation to track down the suspects.
