THREE armed men robbed on Tuesday afternoon a delivery truck right after the salesman and the driver delivered their products in a store in Barangay Nazareth, Cagayan de Oro.
Senior Police Officer 2 Ian Quitoriano of Police Station 9 in Macasandig identified the salesman as Jonathan J. Montaje, 30, a resident of Tomas Saco St. in Barangay Nazareth, and the truck driver Bonifacio Austria, 24, a resident of Scions in Barangay Kauswagan.
Montaje and Austria are all employees of 727 Enterprises engaged in the delivery of soft drinks.
Police initial investigation showed that while the victims were delivering soft drinks, three men armed with guns suddenly appeared and declared a holdup.
Police said the suspects took Montaje’s sales for the day worth P25,000 and fled onboard a red XRM motorcycle.
“As of now, we are conducting our counter investigation to determine the statement of the victims,” Quitoriano told Sun.Star Cagayan de Oro.
The incident occurred just a day after a loading station was robbed by two armed men who carted away almost half a million pesos worth of cash and card loads.
The two robbers also escaped on board a red XRM motorcycle.
Police said the suspects are members of a syndicate group operating in Cagayan de Oro and Misamis Oriental.
