PMA sets entrance exam for aspirants in Mindanao-A A +A

THE Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Office of the Cadet Admission will be conducting the PMA entrance examination at the Fourth Infantry (Diamond) Division Gymnasium in Camp Evangelista, Barangay Patag, Cagayan de Oro City on August 26.
Qualified to take the entrance exam are those natural born Filipino citizens, physically fit, single and never been married, must be at least 17 years old but not a day older than 22 years on April 1 of the year following the date of examination, a high school graduate with a general grade average of 85 percent or higher, and a minimum of 5 feet tall for both male and female.
The PMA Cadetship Application form will be distributed nationwide and can be downloaded from the PMA official website http://www.pma.ph.
All interested and qualified applicants must complete the information in the application form and attach two copies of 2x2 ID picture, authenticated or NSO copy of birth certificate and a certified true copy of High School Form 137.
The form filled shall be mailed back with data to the Office of Cadet Admission, Philippine Military Academy, Fort del Pilar 2602, Baguio City not later than two weeks before the scheduled examination date.
The entrance examination covers Algebra and geometry, Grammar and Composition, Reading Comprehension, Verbal and Numerical Reasoning and pattern Analysis.
Examination permits are sent through mail to the address reflected by the applicants in their application forms and can also be verified at the venue during the examination.
All cadets of PMA are granted full scholarship and will be receiving salary and allowances while studying for four years earning a degree of Bachelor of Science and a chance to study abroad after graduation.
After graduation from the academy, cadets are directly commissioned as regular officers in the Armed Forces of the Philippines, joining any of the three branches of service of their choice -- the Army, the Navy or the Air Force.
