THE Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro will host a conference on the scientific findings of the Eucharistic miracles that will be open to clergy, religious, the laity and the general public on July 27 to 29.
The conference, dubbed as “Eucharistic Miracles, the triumph of faith over science,” is a series of conferences scheduled in different parts of the country, including the diocese of Jaro in Iloilo City.
In an article posted in a Catholic online, Dr. Ricardo Castañon Gomez, a Cognitive Neuropsychologist and a member of a pool of scientists that have examined various claimed mystical phenomena for the Church throughout the world, will be the main speaker who will be arriving in the Philippines on July 21 until August 6 for the series of conferences.
“Gomez is a doctor in abnormal psychology, with university studies in Germany and Italy who specializes in psychosomatic medicine. Gomez has also carried out psychotherapy specialty studies in London, pathologies in Lyons-France, toxico-dependencies in the University of Berkeley in California and applied psychology in Louvain, Belgium,” the report said.
Gomez wrote 14 books and over 400 articles of science and disclosure and has conducted conferences in the University of Georgetown in Washington, in the Pan-American Bank of Development, University Technical College of Madrid, University of Valladolid, University of Augustine Texas, Saint Joseph College of Sydney-Australia, among others.
He has also carried out more than 1,700 conferences in different countries around the globe.
Gomez has been converted from atheism and has dedicated his life to spreading the triumph of faith over science because of his personal experiences of the scientifically inexplicable results of various Eucharistic miracles.
The series of conferences is part of the Eucharistic Miracles of the World Exhibit.
Cagayan de Oro Archbishop Antonio J. Ledesma and Jaro Archbishop Angel L. Lagdameo have both confirmed their willingness to host the conferences.
