OPERATIVES of the Regional Anti-Illegal Drug Special Operation Task Force/Regional Special Operations Group X (RAIDSOTG/RSOG) arrested a laborer for selling illegal drugs.
Police Inspector Patrick Jess Paguirigan, RAIDSOTG/RSOG chief, said they arrested Virgilio Narvaza, alias Totong Jemeno, 29, during a buy-bust operation last Wednesday along J.R. Borja-Corrales Streets, Cagayan de Oro City.
Operatives of RAIDSOTG/RSOG caught the suspect selling a heat-sealed plastic sachet allegedly containing shabu around 2 p.m.
Also recovered from the suspect’s possession were eleven heat-sealed plastic sachets containing shabu with an estimated street value of P15,000 and five pieces P100 bills used as marked money with initial marking of RSOG.
Paguirigan disclosed that Narvaza was involved in a crime as he had a murder case in Lanao del Norte following a background check they had conducted.
The suspect is now temporarily detained at the Maharlika Detention Center facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
