THE woman who was found dead at a grassy portion in Barangay Bulua has already been identified and claimed by her parents on Thursday.
Senior Police Officer 1 Elmer Hilario of Bulua Police Station said the victim was identified as Rita V. Llido, 20, a resident of Green Heights in Barangay Balulang, Cagayan de Oro.
Hilario said based on their investigation, the victim was allegedly a “commercial sex worker” in the Divisoria area.
“This is according to her colleagues who gave statements to the investigators,” he said, adding that investigators have also invited some personalities who can possibly provide a lead to authorities as to the identity of the suspect.
It was learned that Llido’s parents were not immediately aware of what happened to their daughter reportedly because they “were already used to her attitude of running away from their house for several months.”
“According to her father, she stowed away for six months and just even arrived from Manila,” Hilario added.
As of these posting, police are still conducting further investigation to trace the identity of the killer.
