AUTHORITIES have yet to file charges against the killers of the 20-year-old woman who was found dead in Barangay Bulua the other week.
Senior Police Officer 1 Ansari Pagador of Bulua Police Station said they are still conducting further investigation to gather strong evidences to support the case against the suspects.
“We already have the statement of the witnesses but this is still not enough. It would be hard if we would just file any case but would later be dismissed due to the absence of a direct link to the suspects,” Pagador told Sun.Star.
On July 31, Rita V. Llido, a resident of Green Heights in Barangay Balulang, Cagayan de Oro, was found dead in Zone 8 Barangay Bulua with seven stab wounds in different parts of her body.
It took two days before Llido was identified because nobody in the area where she was found recognized her.
Police recovered a pouch at the crime scene owned by the victim that contained a cellular phone, a condom, hand sanitizer, and P20 cash.
Initial police investigation showed that the victim was believed to be one of the “pick up girls” in Divisoria area.
Llido’s father said she ran away from their house for more than six months and that her family has already been used to her attitude.
