Army awards civilian partners

THE 4th Infantry “Diamond” Division recognized individuals and organizations in an awarding ceremony held at the Division’s Clubhouse recently.
The activity was aimed at showing the 4ID’s gratitude to all the support given by the awardees to the Division and units under it that helps in its mission accomplishment.
Nine individuals and two organizations received the awards. The individual awardees include Rey M. Cueva, Provincial Director of Tesda Surigao del Sur; Mayor Isaia C. Masendo of Talacogon, Agusan del Sur; Edna M. Mabeza, regional executive director-OIC of the Department of Agriculture Region XII; Councilor Kirk A. Asis of Bayugan City; Jose Roy Baylen Panes; Christine Bangot; Judge Florencia D. Sealana-Abbu of RTC Branch 17; Atty. Dale Bryan D. Mordeno of Camp Evangelista Golf Club; and Regional Prosecutor Atty. Jaime L. Umpa.
The organization awardees were the Philippine Red Cross-Surigao del Sur Chapter and Taganito HPAL Nickel Corporation (THPAL).
The ceremony was attended by the staff and all officers of the Division.
After the awarding ceremony, guests, officers of the Division and other attendees shared and enjoyed the cocktails.
Major General Victor A. Felix AFP, 4ID Commander, said being of service to the people, especially to the military, is not easy to do. These people took a step forward of offering their service to the soldiers and the military as a whole.
“To the awardees, I am very thankful for what you have done in support of the 4ID units and the Division as well. We will not be successful in our mission without your support. I am happy that the patriotism in you exudes to every effort you do to help the country and the Filipino people. I hope that you will continue your support to the soldiers and to the 4th Infantry Division, again my congratulations,” Felix added. (PR)
