Environment office commends Opol police

THE Mines and Geosciences Bureau-Department of Environment and Natural Resources (MGB-DENR) in Northern Mindanao lauded 21 members of the Opol Municipal Police Station for their active participation and far-reaching effort to sustain the anti-illegal mining campaign along the stretch of Iponan River.
The campaign is initiated by MGB in cooperation with the local government units and law enforcement agencies, which resulted in the confiscation of several water pumps used in illegal hydraulic mining activities.
Topping the roster of uniformed personnel awarded is Philippine National Police (PNP) Opol Station commander Rogelio Labor Jr.
Other awardees are SPO4 Eddie A. Tayone, SPO4 Abundio A. Tedlos Jr., SPO2 Nick E. Bagas, SPO2 Amado Y. Ua-o, SPO2 Ruben B. Yañez, SPO1 Eva G. Española, SPO1 Anavin Paltinca, SPO1 Roy S. Sabaldana, SPO1 Weyne M. Tan, PO3 Jhonjill A. Canoco, PO3 Benhur A. Peñnaloga, PO2 Gil T. Agne Jr., PO2 Richard B. Amoguis, PO2 Jonathan C. Eduave, PO2 Ronald C. Eugenio, PO2 Rodel M. Suaybaguio, Leobert B. Adajar, Benjie O. Bahayanan, Catherine C. Hibaya and Rhoda R. Medija.
The commendations were given last August 23 by Misamis Oriental Vice Governor Norris Babiera and Engr. Alfredo T. Relampagos, regional director of MGB, at the Provincial Board session hall. (PR)
