Cops nab robbery suspect

OPERATIVES of the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office Special Operations Group and Anti-Theft and Robbery Section arrested a suspected criminal for attempted robbery and attempted homicide in a joint operation over the weekend.
Police Senior Inspector Harvey S. Abellanosa, chief of CSOG/ATRS, said Argie M. Asa alias Ricky James Asa, 27, a resident of Purok 2A Barangay Gusa in Cagayan de Oro has two pending warrants.
Abellanosa said the arresting teams were armed with two warrants issued by Regional Trial Court Judge Vincent B. Rosales of Branch 4 and Judge Romualdo E. Galarrita of Branch 3 for the crimes of attempted robbery and attempted homicide, respectively.
The court recommended a P12,000 bail for Asa’s temporary liberty.
Abellanosa said the arrest of Asa was also made possible through the help of the Barangay Intelligence Network.
The suspect is now temporarily detained at the Maharlika Detention center pending his transfer to the Lumbia Rehabilitation Center.
