INVESTIGATORS at the Carmen Police Station are still facing a blank wall as to the motive behind the killing of a public utility jeepney (PUJ) driver Monday evening.
Senior Police Officer 2 Allan Cosmo told Sun.Star Cagayan de Oro that investigators are still in the process of establishing the possible motive in the killing of Jose Noly Pedroso Jr., 27, a resident of Sitio Balongis in Barangay Balulang, Cagayan de Oro City.
Pedroso was found dead at a vacant lot and grassy portion in Ilaya, Barangay Balulang on Tuesday at around 6 a.m. He succumbed to four stab wounds in the back, left shoulder and in the chest.
Recovered at the crime scene were the victim’s wallet, P420 cash, a double bladed knife and the multicab driven by Pedroso with plate number GPS-909.
Pedroso’s body was found 30 meters away from his driven multicab.
Residents in the area told police that they heard loud music from the multicab, which was seen parked in the area early Monday evening.
The victim’s wife said as far as she knows, her husband has no enemy.
Cosmo said police ruled out robbery since the victim’s money is intact.
