CAPITOL University is publishing a book of stories narrated by children-survivors of Sendong entitled “Sa kagab-ihon sa Sendong: Narratives of Children Survivors.”
The book, edited by Lilian C. De la Peña and Amor Q. De Torres, will be launched on December 14, 2012.
Proceeds of the sale will go to the scholarship funds of children affected by Sendong, to be managed by Capitol University.
The book contains 14 stories that showcase the strong family relationships exemplified by the narratives of the children, how they tried to save one another though unfortunately, some lost their lives in the process.
Sendong is written in Cebuano (Cagayan de Oro variant), the mother tongue of the children narrators, which will serve as a good reading material for children from Kinder to Grade 3.
