7 Xavier school grads top NLE

SEVEN successful examinees from Xavier University (XU) in Cagayan de Oro City and two others from Mountain View College (MVC) in Valencia City, Bukidnon landed in the top 10 of the Nursing Licensure Examination (NLE).
Out of the 49,066 examinees, only 16,908 passed.
Phyllis Glee Cuyag Guting, a graduate of MVC, landed in the second place with 85.40 percent rating while Mary Grace Bation Ramiso, also from MVC, landed in top 8 along with Ysabel Marie Balansag Zubiri of Xavier University. Both garnered 84.20 percent.
Klarc Patrick Batincila Gontiñas, Aiko Jane Felicitas Osa and Dulcenia Guillen Soloveres all landed in the top 9 while Farrah Macud Adap, Kenneth Jun Bagarinao Logroño and Katrina Gracia Balat Mangubat occupied the top 10 spot.
The examination was held on December 16 and 17, 2012 in different testing centers in Manila, Angeles, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cabanatuan, Cebu, Dagupan, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.
Meanwhile, Xavier University was the second top performing schools in the December 2012 NLE, the Philippine Regulatory Commission said.
XU has a 97.93 passing percentage after it had a total of 189 passers out of the 193 who took the exam.
