A 40-YEAR-OLD woman, who refused to give her bag to two robbers, was shot to death Thursday evening in Barangay Nazareth, Cagayan de Oro City, the police said.
Senior Police Officer 1 (SPO1) Dante Mier of Macasandig Police Station 9 identified the victim as Juvy Acain, a resident of 9th/21st Street Nazareth and an Avon dealer, who was robbed along 9th/21st Street in Barangay Nazareth around 7:50 p.m.
She sustained three gunshot wounds in different parts of her body and was rushed to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC), but died later.
Police said the two armed men fled with an undetermined amount of money from the victim on board a black XRM motorcycle with no plate number.
Authorities recovered two empty shells of 9mm caliber at the crime scene.
Mier said that operatives of Police Station 9 are still conducting a follow up investigation to identify the suspects.
He said the area, where Acain was robbed, was the same spot where a couple was also shot last November 28, 2012. (Annabelle L. Ricalde)
