CAGAYAN de Oro City councilors Simeon Licayan and Ian Mark Nacaya received certificates of recognition from the Philippine Councilors League (PCL) for their selfless dedication and commitment to the city’s constituents for the past nine years.
Councilor Ramon Tabor, PCL national secretary general, received the certificates for the councilors during the awarding ceremony recently held in Davao City.
Tabor formally turned over the certificate to Licayan during the City Council regular session Wednesday morning.
Nacaya was not around during the hand over so his certificate was received by Councilor Adrian Barba.
Vice Mayor Caesar Ian Acenas expressed his warm and heartfelt thanks and congratulations to the two legislators who will be ending their third terms in June.
“The 16th City Council will be giving them fitting awards and recognition in due time,” he said.
He said this will not only benefit legislators in the city but those rendering public service as legislators in all parts of the country.
Licayan is the active chair of the Committee on Finance and Ways and Means while Nacaya chairs the Committee on Peace and Order and Public Safety and the Environmental Sanitation and Pollution Control Board. Both are members of different standing and executive committees. (LCR/PR)
