THE intensified campaign of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) against illegal drugs in Northern Mindanao region scored anew after anti-narcotics agents nabbed a “high value target” during a buy-bust operation Friday morning in Misamis Occidental province.
PDEA Regional Director Emerson Margate said Jennifer A. Pactol, 35, a resident of Barangay Lower Loboc, Oroquieta, Misamis Occidental, was arrested after selling a suspected shabu (methamphetamine) to undercover drug enforcement officers.
Agents seized some 27 sachets of shabu from Pactol. The illegal drugs weighed 2.0 grams with an estimated amount of P300,000, the PDEA said.
The marked money and a black MC XRM motorcycle with plate number 3931 KU was also recovered.
Margate said Pactol is considered as “Top 12 High Value Target” in the region based on the evaluation and monitoring of her alleged illegal activity in the area.
The suspect is now temporarily detained at the detention facility of PDEA’s sub-office in Oroquieta City pending the filing of charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, while the recovered drug evidences were brought to the Philippine National Police Crime Laboratory for examination.
