Friday, July 21, 2017

THE Cagayan de Oro City Water District (COWD) will be implementing two scheduled temporary water service interruptions Friday, July 21.

According to its advisory, the COWD has scheduled a five-hour water interruption from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. affecting entire Zone 11 and Golden Boulevard in Carmen village.

The COWD is set to conduct installation of data loggers at Zone 11, Carmen as part of the Non-Revenue Water (NRW) Reduction Program Implementation.

The COWD said it is necessary for the identification of the customers within the boundary of the proposed Zone 11, Carmen District Metered Area (DMA).

The COWD will also implement another 6-hour water interruption from 11:00 am to 5 p.m. Friday in the entire Villa Ernesto Subdivision, Gusa, from Phase 1 to crossing Malasag.

The COWD is set to conduct leakage repair of a 150mm diameter pipeline at Villa Ernesto Subdivision Phase 1.

The COWD has advised all concessionaires in the areas affected by the water interruption to store enough water for their consumption during the interruption period.

Ladele Sagrado, COWD public information and relations divisions’ manager, said a “recorida” has already been conducted to inform residents of the said water interruption.

Sagrado assured residents of the affected areas that all efforts are taken to restore normal water supply the soonest time possible. (Alwen Saliring)
