A GRADUATE OF Xavier University in Cagayan de Oro City (CDO) topped the 2017 Mechanical Engineering Board Exam, the Professional Regulation Commission announced on Tuesday, October 3.
Jay Nelson Corbita ranked first in the exam with 92.20 percent.
The PRC said that out of 5,098 examinees, only 3,517 passed the exam.
Von Eric Damirez of University Of Batangas is on the second spot with 90.15 percent, followed by Teofilo Gregorio De Lima Ayo IV of Camarines Sur Polytechnic College-Nabua, John Bert Bringino Onrubia of Bicol University-Legazpi, Nelbert Iligan Sumalpong of Notre Dame University, and Jakal Suyo of Ateneo De Davao University with 90.10 percent each.
Aaron Mendoza Constantino of Technological Institute Of The Philippines-Manila grabbed the fourth spot with 89.90 percent.
Lean Maverick Nikko Alcantara from Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University-San Fernando and John Nico Navarete Omlang of Technological University Of The Philippines-Manila ranked fifth, with 89.75 percent each.
Raymar Nureal Otero of Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University-San Fernando and John Bert Bringino Onrubia Bicol University-Legazpi ranked sixth and seventh, with 89.65 and 89.50, respectively.
Paolo Raphael Maningas of Bulacan State University-Malolos ranked eighth with 89.45 percent and Alfredo Yap Relucio Jr. of De La Salle University-Manila is at the ninth spot with 89.40, while Mark Joseph Carlos Saint Louis University ranked tenth with 89.10 percent.
The examination was held in Manila, Cebu, Davao, Baguio, CDO and Lucena cities last September 28 to 29. (FVC/SunStar Philippines)
