IT WOULD indeed be another thriller to the world as the Pacquiao-Clottey fight unfolds on the 13th next month. One thing is really certain: there would only be one man left standing. If it's Joshua Clottey as he and his supporters have been drumbeating, then their pronouncement is validated.
But that is easier said than done. As Manny normally tell you: “Let the fist do the talking in the ring.” And as he did, he was simply as prophetic as his coach Freddie Roach who has been perfect in his boxing predictions. Witness how he beat black and blue great Mexican boxers from Barrera, Morales, Marquez, along with heavier but equally fearsome boxers David Diaz, de la Hoya, Hatton and lately, Cotto.

It's explainable why Clottey declared he would *shock* the word when he fights Pacquiao. He stands two inches taller than Manny and a full welterweight. Manny himself recognizes the danger of Clottey, given his 35 wins and 3 losses on top of having not suffered any knockouts in his entire boxing career.
But he better eats his words while there is still time as online voting has already sealed his fate with Manny registering lopsided 74 percent KO win over 14 percent for Clottey.
This writer's guess: Pacquiao of course adding Clottey to his list of statistics. Most likely by unanimous decision as Manny normally finds Clottey humble unlike his airy Mexican opponents. But Manny might go for early knockout, too. Why not? “Unless Clottey rides a bicycle in the ring. True he is defensive specialist” unfortunately, he's too slow and tentative as a boxer. That may trigger Manny's impatience to finish his job early in time for another concert after the match. (rfmaulion@yahoo.com)
