Adaza: Slow impeachment
Thursday, February 9, 2012
THE Divine Mercy Hills where the one-hectare Archdiocesan Shrine of the Divine Mercy is located is part of the Divine Mercy Hills but it’s presently owned by the Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro and where three parties managed it, the Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro, The Congregation of the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception and the Divine Mercy Foundation of Mindanao Phils. Inc.
What is left of the Divine Mercy Hills is more than 10 hectares owned by the Divine Mercy Foundation of Mindanao Phils. Inc., a lay organization of professionals, non-professionals, working or non-working Filipino Citizens of Cagayan de Oro City and the province of Misamis Oriental.
Have something to report? Tell us in text, photos or videos.
It is situated in the town then of El Salvador, Misamis Oriental, now a city for good courtesy of a flip-flopping Philippine Supreme Court.
Specifically, the official address of the Divine Mercy Hills is the two barangays, PSB-Ulaliman, El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental.
Why PSB-Ulaliman? There are two barangays which own allegedly part of the
Divine Mercy Hills, Barangay Pedro Sa Baculio (PSB) and Barangay Ulaliman of the City of El Salvador.
When will it be resolved their conflicting claims? It is undetermined yet.
There never was a conflict as to which owns when the Divine Mercy Hills was still a rawland. But three years ago, understandably when it started to be developed, when it was not declared as an Archdiocesan Shrine of the Divine Mercy by the humble intellectual Archbishop Antonio J. Ledesma, D.D., a Jesuit.
On the part of the Congregation of the Marians of the Immaculate Conception Priest (MIC), it built a sturdy and large three-storey Formation House which the Poland-based congregation is headquartered in Rome. It houses their Polish priests, novices and seminarians who are enrolled in a seminary in San Jose Seminary at Camaman-an, Cagayan de Oro City.
Presently, they have six Polish priests who reside in the Formation House, one Fil-American and one mainland Chinese priest. Their Formation House is the main headquarters for their Asia-Pacific assignment and Fr. Yan Migacz, MIC is their Superior.
Fr. Val Pozniak, MIC, is the Rector of the Shrine and his assistant rector is Fr. Meds Valmores, appointed by the Archbishop.
Mrs. Kits Adaza, the President of the Divine Mercy Foundation of Mindanao Phils. Inc., attends the monthly meeting of the Tripartite Team. She is joined in by Vice President Vicky Neri, Secretary Tata Arengo and Toytoy Roxas, the Treasurer.

The impeachment Court slowly progresses since obviously the private prosecutors are not seasoned trial lawyers. In last Tuesday’s Impeachment Court Trial, the objections of the defense counsel were sustained by Senate President Ponce Enrile, Atty. Arthur Lim could have appealed to the Chair, for the Chair to be liberal to abbreviate proceeding for the goal of the trial is to know the truth and surely he would have granted it instead of being too subservient to the rulings of Enrile.
Either the members of the prosecution team want to display their unpreparedness and inexperience while paid handsomely by the taxpayers.
Retired Justice Cuevas is a skilful trial lawyer and very experienced in trial work. He is too smart for nothing, being the lawyer of the Iglesia Ni Cristo.
