MY DAYS in the week are quite interesting for I met people I never expected to meet.

Boy Abonitalla, a retired employee of the City Health Office of Cagayan de Oro City, was seated comfortably in a Senior Citizen’s seat at SM with his pretty American granddaughter, who is a Grade 3 pupil at Corpus Christi.

Boy told me he is waiting for his daughter to complete her grocery purchases for the month of September. I went to SM for my wife had to buy our needs for September and as usual, I come along for this is a time to meet people.

I cannot isolate myself from people for no man is an island. And to isolate, you live a life of a hermit, it is not the intention of God, when he created man.

Boy also informed me that his uncle, retired RTC Judge Tony Orcullo, cannot walk already and is bed ridden. He cannot talk for he suffered a stroke and worse, a slipped disc and because of his age, it’s not advisable to have an operation.

The mysterious death of his younger brother, Locloc Orcullo, a former Board Member of Misamis Oriental, contributed a lot to his depression.

I’ll visit him one of these days and also lawyer Tony Aguilar, who lives in Lumbia. He is afflicted with Alzheimers disease and is bedridden since two years ago.

The appointment of Maria Lourdes Sereno as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court to replace the former Chief Justice who got convicted by the Senate, that her appointment is from God without crediting President Noynoy at all, was made by her to avoid the implication that she is out to be subservient to the interests of the President, especially about Hacienda Luisita.

Her not well-thought-out answer to the press people’s question is not a valid reason to conclude that she is unfit to the position. Let us give her a chance to prove her worth as a servant leader. As she called herself.

Over at the Divine Mercy Shrine, Mama Mary’s birthday is September 8 of every year. But it has no biblical basis.

On the eve of her birthday, prominent Doctor of Medicine, Rene Bullecer, will talk about issues now, the RH Bill pending deliberation in Congress.
The signs of the End Time -- these important subjects are interesting to know about. The venue is at the Divine Mercy Chapel at the Divine Mercy Hills in El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental. The talk time is 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
