WHEN Syria unleashed the fury of its chemical weapon against the rebels more than 1,400 people dropped dead to the ground in just a few minutes. The matter caught the attention of the world causing extreme indignations to the United States of America, France, England and dozens of other countries that cursed wildly its unlawful use.
It was revealed the use of chemical weapon had been banned long time ago by the United Nations because of its effect to mankind and the like on the surface of earth. It was definitely dreadful, horrible and what have you that has no parallel ever. It will destroy lives of animals too, trees and others.
The matter has tragically hurt the leadership of America and wished to strike Syria with the might of its military but a lot more of its people rejected the idea since they do not want to drag the country to war with anyone. Even the Pope declared against the strike since it will only cause more loses in lives and property. Further, other countries including Russia, expressed their dislike to the idea of attacking Syria for some reasons. America had sent to the Syrian coast two aircraft carriers as a prelude to a strike but for the moment held its fire.
Many experts on world affairs calculated that the unrest in Syria could trigger a bigger war that will involve many of the countries in the Middle East like Iran, Iraq, Israel, and many others. Syria has its allies too among others Russia, Iran and other Islamic nations. Russia has even sent some warships to the area too to help its allies in case war breaks out. To give a better view of the consequences, it will certainly trigger a larger conflict among nations that would amount to world war three.
We know for a fact that a modern war would be much different from the last war we had. This time there will be an exchange of fires from modern armaments, large missiles, use of nuclear weapons, advance knowledge of war strategies and styles. Nobody would be safe and certainly every participant will suffer serious damages. Civilians who will be caught in the controversy are the losers since they will suffer the brunt of deadly actions and skirmishes.
The power of chemical weapon is difficult to describe. It will cause instant death to people who breathe its effects. It will annihilate mankind in a short time. It is very dangerous beyond compare. It is really a good reason to avoid its use if we want to preserve life on earth. I hope the Almighty will intervene in this controversy to avoid its use in the ultimate misunderstanding among the people. We should pray that instead of engaging in the arena of battle, soften their hearts and be friendly and loving towards each other. We know we shall pass this world but once.
