Last October 30, 2009, the Cagayan de Oro Chamber of Commerce and Industry Foundation, Inc.(Oro Chamber) held its 3rd general membership meeting cum elections at the Dynasty Court Hotel this city.

Oro Chamber president Rodolfo L. Menes in his welcome remarks underscored the need for seeking dynamic souls to put more spunk to the advocacies of the Chamber and to be able to give more service to the different sectors. He also inducted ten (10) new chamber members: PLDT SME Nation, Greenergy Development Corp., Bukidnon Hydro Energy Corp., Invex, Micro Trade GCM Corp., Solerex Water Technologies, Dats Technical and Driving School, Hillsen Corp., Marela Clothing Apparel and GMA Network Channel 12 Cagayan de Oro. Mr. Antonio D. Uy, Oro Chamber VP for Trade and Commerce presented the new members that were inducted.

The members of the Oro Chamber also elected their trustees to serve the Chamber for three (3) years (2010-2012). Elected were Jessie Co of New CCH Hardware, Engr. Cerael Donggay of Bukidnon Hydro Energy Corp., Engr. Raymundo Reyes of COC-Phinma, Engr. Elpidio M. Paras of PARASAT Cable TV and Dr. Hector San Juan of Helms Agri-business. Mr. Al Brito and past president Milton Along facilitated the election process.

Don’t miss this! The Commission for Information and Communications Technology and the Oro Chamber will host the Information and Communications (ICT) roadshow called Convergence 2009 on November 12 and 13, 2009 at the Pryce Plaza Hotel.

The roadshow will focus on the following: BPO-IT as a new career trend and lifestyle, Socio-civic advocacy on IT, BPO-IT benefits and opportunities, enhancing productivity and efficiency in the BPO-IT industry through unified communications and how to get hired in the BPO-IT industry.
