Sarah Geronimo in Oro for a record breaking concert-A A +A
Thursday, August 5, 2010
ALL roads will lead to the Atrium of Limkekai Center in Lapasan Friday as the country’s Popstar Princess, Sarah Geronimo, will serenade Kagay-anons with her heartwarming songs for the Cagayan de Oro leg of her Record Breaker Concert
Tour at 8 p.m.
Geronimo promises Friday’s concert as one “record breaking” event, with the support she would get from her special guests Christian Bautista, Charlie Green, Jimmy Marquez and GForce.
In a press conference held Thursday at Bigby’s Café, Geronimo says she would sing songs mostly from her album.
“What’s good about having a concert tour is that you are singing the same repertoire. You only need to do a little practice and vocalization,” she says.
When asked by a member of the media why “Record Breaker,” Geronimo says the title of the concert was conceptualized by her Sunsilk family in direct recognition of her achievements in the music industry.
Indeed, her achievements are one “record breaking” feat. Proofs are the different awards she received since 2006 from numerous award-giving bodies paired by top-rating soap operas, box-office movies, particularly “A Very Special Love” and “You Changed My Life” with hunk John Lloyd Cruz, and commercial endorsements.
Geronimo says she would love to do another sequel of her movies with Cruz but in due time.
“For now, focus muna sa singing,” she says.
She adds she would be coming up with another album hopefully this year.
Born Sarah Asher Tua Geronimo, the Popstar Princess, started singing at age six but got into the music industry professionally in 2003 after she won the reality-based show “Star for a Night.”
Since then, she has not stopped singing as she continues to share her talents to everyone who appreciates her songs.
And tonight, Kagay-anons would be given a dose of Geronimo’s well-loved songs as she sets the stage for another record-breaking concert.
