THE hobby of blogging has been spreading like wildfire among people young and old alike. As more and more people are getting hooked to it, Sony has come up with a completely new gadget that would make the life of blog enthusiasts easier.

Bloggie, Sony’s new baby, is intended for those whose lives revolve around blogging.

Carlo Gulanes, a member of Sony Philippines’ Team Alpha Davao, said the gadget offers bloggers the chance to make videos at full high definition.

“Bloggie can record a full 360 degree view of the scene. It has a 270 degree swivel lens and rotating screen that allows the blogger to take shots from any angle,” Gulanes said.

The new gadget has a built-in USB connector and a PMB (Picture Motion Browser) software which, Gulanes said, allows the bloggers to download the videos easily into the YouTube, Facebook or anywhere they wish the video to be shown or saved.

The Bloggie, which sells at P14,999, comes with a 360 degree video lens and 4GB memory stick. It is available in four colors “black, pink, green and white” and can be purchased in cash or installment through credit cards at the Sony Centre in Limketkai Center, this city.

From March 12 to 21, Sony Philippines held an exhibit dubbed “Summer Fever” at the Rotunda of Limketkai Center.

Aside from the Bloggie, shown at the exhibit are Sony’s other new products such as the NX 800/700 series of Bravia (Best Resolution Audio Video Integrated Architecture) that comes in monolithic design concept taken from the Japanese philosophy of “Tatazumai” which means “something stands out in space yet blends at the same time.”

For those who love light travels, Sony’s Vaio X series notebooks are a come-on, which were also on display at the “Summer Fever.”

Gulanes said the Vaio X series is the slimmest and lightest among Sony’s notebooks at 13.9 mm and 655 grams a perfect companion for those who don’t want to carry extra baggage.

“This notebook weighs only 655 grams, which is equivalent to three fresh apples,” Gulanes said.

The notebook, according to him, is made up of carbon fiber similar to those used in Ferrari cars, making it slim and light.

For the photography enthusiasts, Sony’s Cyber-shots are worth investing. These cameras are water-proof, temperature-proof, dust-proof and shock-proof.

Gulanes said what made these cameras more interesting is its “sweep panorama” feature that makes photographers take shots of wide scenes either horizontally or vertically.

From television to cameras and laptops/notebooks, Sony is definitely a brand to reckon with. It is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of consumer electronics and broadcast and professional products and is known for its innovative and high quality products.
