Benoya brothers lead Cotta-Asset winners

AGE-GROUP campaigners from Corpus Christi and City Central School showed their table tennis prowess in the Cotta-Asset Open tournament held recently at the Limketkai Mall in Cagayan de Oro.
A little-known pupil from Suntingon Elementary School of Barangay Bugo pulled out a surprise in the two-weekend competition organized by Cotta president Francisco Cruz, vice president MSG Antonio Besana and Asset (Advance Scientific System Efficiency Training) president TSG Dario Hernane.
"Every time nga magpadula ‘mi aduna gyoy mga sorpresa sa mga baguhan nga maoy makapa-exciting sa among torneyo," Hernane told Sun.Star Cagayan de Oro.
As Corpus Christi's Serknight Benoya and his brother Serjie Benoya ruled the Class B Open single and Class C Open single, respectively, City Central's Al Khalid Pandi and Janna Mae Paculba went on to dominate the Boys 12-under singles and Girls 11-under singles categories.
Joining them in the elite circle is Bugo bet Nicole Medado who edged out Mikaila Margarette Barba of Immanuel Mission International School in their match for the Girls 8-under singles title.
