LANAO del Norte once again hosted another successful leg of the Enersel Forte Philippines International Motocross Series at the world-class MCC race track last June 22 to 24.
This year also marks the 1st leg of the Gov. Mohammad Khalid Q. Dimaporo International Motocross Battle, and thus solidified Lanao del Norte’s grip on the title as the “Motocross capital of the Philippines”.
The competition was the official kick-off event for the 53rd Charter Day celebration of Lanao del Norte, which is celebrated every year by the Provincial Government with a two-week series of concerts and competitions.

Dimaporo welcomed 320 motocross riders from all over the country, as well as four international riders from the American Motocross Association (AMA) that include Daniel Blair, Sean Kranyak, Dennis Stapleton and Tiger Lacy.
Top Australian freestyle rider Bradley Burch was also part of the group who visited this capital town to showcase his death-defying jumps and stunts.
A daily average of 5,000 spectators came to witness the exciting races between top racing teams like Therasil SEL-J, KTM Access Plus, Team Pacquaio, Moto-X Davao and local standout Team SND.
Riders competed in various categories such as beginner production, intermediate, 50 cc, 65cc, 85cc, novice open production, ladies, underbone novice, underbone open, local enduro, executive A, veterans, pro lites, pro open and international pro.
“Lanao del Norte definitely has the best race track in the country and we are happy to bring the 4th leg of the Motocross Series here in this beautiful province,” said SEL-J Sports President Jay Lacnit.
The race was supported by Nature’s Spring, Dunkin Donuts, Pepsi Cola Philippines Co. Inc., San Miguel Brewery Inc., Petronas Lubricants, Globe and Motortrade.
The world motocross series will culminate here in December this year. (PR)
