CAGAYAN de Oro bets Justin Yepes and the Suzuki siblings may not guarantee victory, but their participation in the ongoing Pulacan leg of the 2017 Cebuana Lhuillier Age-Group tennis tournament in Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur is quite already a feat worth to treasure in the threshold of their young tennis memories.
For one, the Pulacan leg slated Sept. 8-12 is a Group 1 event considered as a highest level tournament which is the first time to happen in the Visayas and Mindanao areas.
“Sa mga nag-apil it’s a big honor gyod kay first time pa gyod nga adunay Group 1 event nga gihimo in Mindanao,” said Mario Inguito Craiz, tournament organizer of the Dunlop Sport-backed Cebuana Lhuillier junior netfest in Viz-Min areas.
With this development, the ITF-licensed referee Craiz expressed gratitude to the men of 1st Infantry (TABAK) Division, Philippine Army for supporting the momentous event.
“This is celebrating another milestone in Philippine Tennis as the Unified Tennis Philippines (UTP) has extended a Group 1 tournament grade level in Mindanao. We’re very thankful to our loyal followers, the parents, coaches, guardians and players who are all part of this memorable event,” Craiz said.
Marking the age group tourney’s 11th year in Philippine Tennis, the Pulacan leg held in the resort-like hard courts of TABAK Tennis Club in Pulacan, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur is sanctioned by Unified Tennis Philippines (UTP) and co-sponsored by DunlopSport PH (the official ball of the event). It is a project of Jean Henri D. Lhuillier, CEO and President of PJ Lhuillier Group of Companies.
