Bus driver out of jail after posting bail
THE driver of the Jegans bus that figured in a road accident in Toledo City last Saturday posted bail shortly after charges of reckless imprudence were filed against him yesterday.
Meanwhile, some of the bus passengers who were brought to the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (VSMMC) will have to stay in the hospital longer to undergo further treatment.

THREE buses of Jegan’s Liner were suspended yesterday while the authorities investigate what caused one of the company’s vehicles to hit a wall in Toledo City during the weekend.
The buses covered by the suspension are those with plate numbers GEC-343, GEC-332 and GED-345, which are covered by one franchise issued to Dr. Antonio Yapha.

A SUPERVISOR of a law firm was found dead in his room in Sitio Kamanggahan, Barangay Tabok, Mandaue City yesterday.
The Investigation and Detection Management Branch of the Mandaue City Police Office said the lifeless body of 27-year-old Ricky Resol Patrona was found on the floor past 6 a.m.
Jeepneys passing Mandaue to take different routes
PUBLIC utility jeepneys (PUJ) for Lapu-Lapu City going to Mandaue and Cebu Cities will be rerouted on Nov. 1 and 2.

Comelec supervisor offers to transfer
CEBU Provincial Commission on Elections (Comelec) Supervisor Lionel Marco Castillano admitted he is one of those who offered to be transferred during a meeting among Comelec officers and supervisors last Oct. 8.
Castillano said Comelec Chairman Sixto Brillantes Jr. told them that there will be a reshuffling of officers and supervisors.
