Aboitiz Race attracts 2,500 runners

TWO thousand and five hundred runners will troop to the South Road Properties early tomorrow for the Aboitiz Race to Reduce Challenge.

The race will have the 21K, 10K, 5K and 3K divisions and will start at 5:15 a.m.

“We are very pleased with the response to this run. Many members of the Aboitiz Group are working for the success of this event and we hope this will be enjoyable and fruitful for all participants,” Aboitiz Equity Venture’s Basti Lacson said.

Aboitiz will also plant one tree in the name of each runner in their nationwide tree-planting activity this October.

Aside from that, all finishers will be given a five-minute massage from 20 visually- impaired masseurs of the Department of Social Welfare and Development. Their names will also be printed in the local dailies.

The race will also have a photo contest with a top prize of P15,000. Second prize is P10,000 and third prize is P5,000.

There will also be seven consolation prizes.
